Hi there!

My name is Trina Popple, and I am the Technology Integration Specialist at Gretna High School and Gretna East High School in Nebraska.

Prior to this role, I spent 5 years at Gretna High School in the classroom teaching high school physics, chemistry, astronomy, and forensic sciences.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Science Education from UNL in 2018 and my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane in 2022. I am currently working on my second master’s degree in Instructional Technology Leadership online at UNK and am anticipating to graduate in the spring of 2025.

I married my husband in the spring of 2021, and together we have two dogs, Diesel and Beau, to keep our lives crazy and hairy.

Some of my favorite hobbies and pastimes include cooking, listening to or reading books, watching sports, and quilting

My favorite teams are the Chiefs, KC Royals, Minnesota Wild, and Kraken.

I enjoy sour candy, especially warheads!

I drive a spitfire orange Jeep named Cholula.

I was a state champion at fruit carving my junior year of high school.

I used to work part-time for the Nebraska Lottery.

I took 4 years of Japanese in high school!

My guilty pleasure show to watch is Ghost Adventures.

I firmly believe that educational technology plays a crucial role in today's classroom in order to help students develop 21st century skills, to challenge and deepen their thinking, and to make learning inclusive to all.
